Damn was, for Denmark, that draw in the Irish land that today forces the Danes to go to Wales in the “second place”. Yeah, because in reality in the first leg Denmark had done theirs, beating their rivals, but in Ireland (as opposed to their next rivals) they won. Suffering, of course, even with the slightest gap, but those three points today make the difference and allow Wales to present himself to the direct confrontation from before the class. Virtual, however, because then in reality the Danes have a match point at home in their return against Ireland. With the victory in the first leg (2-0 the final result) Denmark had put a mortgage on the first place in the group.
