Picks World Cup 2026
World Cup 2026

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, marketed as FIFA World Cup 26, will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men’s soccer championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries; the majority of matches will take place in the United States, while Canada and Mexico will host selected matches. The tournament will be the first hosted by three nations and the first North American World Cup since 1994.
This tournament will be the first to include 48 teams, expanded from 32. The United 2026 bid beat a rival bid by Morocco during a final vote at the 68th FIFA Congress in Moscow. It will be the first World Cup since 2002 to be hosted by more than one nation. With its past hosting of the 1970 and 1986 tournaments, Mexico will become the first country to host or co-host the men’s World Cup three times. The United States last hosted the men’s World Cup in 1994, whereas it will be Canada’s first time hosting or co-hosting the men’s tournament. The event will also return to its traditional northern summer schedule after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was held in November and December. The competition will also occur during the United States semiquincentennial birthday.
Argentina is the defending champion, having won its third title in 2022.

- Norway – England (Predictions Today)
Norway vs England Prediction & Tips
Norway are here for the first time in their history at this stage. Erling Haaland has scored seven goals in four games — including a brace that eliminated Brazil in the Round of 16 — and co-leads the Golden Boot alongside Messi and Mbappé. His record of 62 goals in 54 senior Norway appearances, scoring in each of his last 14 competitive internationals, frames the central challenge England face. Behind him, Martin Ødegaard has assisted in three consecutive World Cup matches and controls Norway’s tempo from midfield.
England arrive battered but alive. A dramatic 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca — Bellingham scoring twice, Kane converting a penalty, all with ten men after Jarell Quansah’s red card — was the most character-defining result of Tuchel’s tenure. Kane has six goals at the tournament. Quansah’s suspension is a significant blow, leaving Tuchel short at right-back with Reece James still a fitness doubt and Konsa the likely alternative.
NORWAY OR DRAW – 1X @ 1.92
- Spain – Belgium (Predictions Today)
Spain vs Belgium Prediction & Tips
Spain vs Belgium is the World Cup 2026 quarter-final that pits the tournament’s best defense against its most prolific attack. Spain are the only team yet to concede a single goal — five games, five clean sheets. Belgium have scored 13 goals in five matches. Something has to give in Los Angeles on Friday.
Spain reached this Spain vs Belgium tie by beating Portugal 1-0 in the Round of 16 thanks to Mikel Merino’s 91st-minute winner — their first World Cup quarter-final since winning the trophy in 2010. Lamine Yamal has been their standout player, while Pedri, Dani Olmo and Oyarzabal provide the creative and defensive balance that makes this Spain side so hard to break down.
Belgium demolished co-hosts USA 4-1 in the Round of 16, with De Ketelaere scoring twice, Vanaken controlling midfield and Lukaku finishing from the bench. It was Belgium’s most complete performance of the tournament and a statement heading into this quarter-final.
MIKEL OYARZABAL OVER 1.5 SHOTS ON TARGET @ 2.42
- France – Morocco (Predictions Today)
France vs Morocco Prediction & Tips
France have been the tournament’s most dominant side — five wins from five, 14 goals scored, only two conceded. Mbappé leads the Golden Boot race with seven goals and is level with Messi on 19 all-time World Cup goals. Dembélé, Olise and Barcola complete a front four that no team has contained at this tournament. Tchouaméni is a fitness doubt, with Koné expected to continue alongside Rabiot in midfield.
Morocco took the harder route. They drew with Brazil, beat Scotland and Haiti, knocked out the Netherlands on penalties and then thrashed co-hosts Canada 3-0 — Ounahi scoring twice, Rahimi adding the third. The main concern is striker Ismael Saibari, who left the Canada game after 22 minutes with a hamstring injury. Without him, Morocco’s attacking threat runs through Brahim Díaz, holder of the African record for World Cup assists with four.
BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 2.02
- Switzerland – Colombia (Predictions Today)
Switzerland vs Colombia Prediction & Tips
Switzerland have made history simply by winning three consecutive World Cup matches for the first time ever. They beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1, Canada 2-1 and Algeria 2-0 to reach this stage, though a draw with Qatar in the group opener showed they can be frustrated when opponents sit deep. Johan Manzambi has been their breakout star — the youngest player to register five goal contributions at a World Cup since 1966 — while Breel Embolo leads the line with two goals and two assists across the tournament.
Colombia are the more convincing side over the course of five matches. Four wins and one draw, with just two goals conceded across the entire tournament. Néstor Lorenzo’s side topped Group K, beat Ghana 1-0 in the Round of 32, and haven’t trailed in a single minute at this World Cup. The loss of striker Jhon Córdoba to a muscle tear is a significant blow, leaving Cucho Hernández and veteran Luis Suárez as the forward options behind the creative axis of Luis Díaz and James Rodríguez.

- Argentina – Egypt (Predictions Today)
Argentina vs Egypt Prediction & Tips
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta | Kickoff: July 7, 12:00 PM ET (5:00 PM BST)
Argentina vs Egypt is the headline fixture of the Round of 16 — Messi vs Salah, defending champions against a nation reaching the World Cup knockout stage for the first time in their modern history.
Argentina are through but not quite convincing. Group J winners with three straight victories over Algeria, Austria and Jordan, they were then taken all the way to extra time by Cape Verde in the Round of 32, needing a Diony Borges own goal in the 111th minute to seal a 3-2 win. Messi scored the opener and now has seven goals at this tournament — the first player in history to score seven or more goals in two separate World Cups. Egypt have been remarkably resilient. Three of their four games at this World Cup have ended level after 90 minutes — draws with Belgium, Iran and Australia — before the Pharaohs beat Australia 4-2 on penalties, with Salah converting an audacious Panenka. Both sides head into Tuesday having played 120 minutes in the previous round.
OVER 7.5 CORNERS @ 1.63
- USA – Belgium (Predictions Today)
USA vs Belgium Prediction & Tips
The USA beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in the Round of 32 for their first World Cup knockout win since 2002, but the victory came at a cost. Folarin Balogun — the team’s top scorer with three goals — was sent off in the 64th minute for a controversial red card and will miss this match. Malik Tillman’s free-kick sealed the result with ten men, but losing Balogun changes the attacking picture significantly. Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah carry the threat now, alongside the set-piece delivery that has produced four of the USA’s ten tournament goals.
Belgium arrived here the hard way. Trailing Senegal 2-0 with seven minutes of normal time remaining, Romelu Lukaku pulled one back from the bench in the 86th minute, Tielemans equalised in the 89th, and then Tielemans scored the winner in the 125th minute — the latest goal ever scored in World Cup history. It was Belgium’s second successive comeback after beating New Zealand and Egypt in the group stage, and it showed the resilience of a squad that has Kevin De Bruyne, Lukaku and Thibaut Courtois still at its core, even if all three are no longer in their prime.
DRAW OR BELGIUM – X2 @ 1.51
- Portugal – Spain (Predictions Today)
Portugal vs Spain Prediction & Tips
Spain arrived here in dominant form. A 3-0 win over Austria in the Round of 32 — Oyarzabal scoring twice either side of Pedro Porro’s first international goal — continued a tournament record of zero goals conceded and a defense that has barely been tested. Lamine Yamal has been the standout player of the group stage, Rodri controls the tempo, and Spain’s pressing machine has looked close to the form that won them Euro 2024.
Portugal got through in more dramatic fashion. Ronaldo was substituted while the score was still level against Croatia before two late goals — a Ronaldo penalty and a Gonçalo Ramos header in stoppage time — sealed a 2-1 comeback win. Ronaldo, 41, is now the first player in history to score at six World Cups, and dedicated the win to the injured Diogo Jota.
SECOND HALF OVER 1.5 GOALS @ 2.17
- Mexico – England (Predictions Today)
Mexico vs England Prediction & Tips
Venue: Estadio Azteca, Mexico City | Kickoff: July 5, 8:00 PM ET (July 6, 1:00 AM BST)
The Mexico vs England clash is one of the most anticipated fixtures of the World Cup 2026 Round of 16. Mexico are unbeaten in ten World Cup games at the Azteca. England haven’t played there in 40 years — the last time was Maradona’s Hand of God in 1986, a defeat that still haunts a generation.
Mexico arrive with five clean sheets and zero goals conceded, the only team at this tournament yet to be scored against. Julián Quiñones has been directly involved in four goals, Raúl Jiménez has scored twice, and 40-year-old Guillermo Ochoa starts in goal at his sixth World Cup — a national record. England beat DR Congo 2-1 in the Round of 32, but only after Harry Kane’s late double rescued a shaky performance that exposed defensive vulnerabilities.
BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 2.05
- Brazil – Norway (Predictions Today)
Brazil vs Norway Prediction & Tips
Brazil arrive as Group C winners after a routine group stage — 3-0 wins over Haiti and Scotland, a 1-1 draw with Morocco — before Gabriel Martinelli’s 95th-minute strike against Japan sealed a dramatic 2-1 Round of 32 win, the latest normal-time goal in World Cup knockout history. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have scored nine goals but conceded two, and head into Sunday without the injured Lucas Paquetá and with Raphinha a major doubt — a significant reshuffle around Vinícius Júnior and Matheus Cunha.
Norway have been one of the stories of the tournament. Erling Haaland has scored five goals in four games, including a late winner against Ivory Coast in the Round of 32. Martin Ødegaard has assisted in three consecutive World Cup matches — the first player to do so since Dirk Kuyt in 2010. Both Norway goals in this tournament have come with Ødegaard involved. The only setback was a 4-1 defeat to France in the group stage, when Solbakken rested most of his starters.
VINICIUS JUNIOR OVER 1.5 SHOTS ON TARGET @ 2.40
- Paraguay – France (Predictions Today)
Paraguay vs France Prediction & Tips
Venue: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia | Kickoff: July 4, 5:00 PM ET (10:00 PM BST)
Paraguay have no right to be here — and that’s exactly what makes them dangerous. After eliminating Germany on penalties in the Round of 32 in one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, Gustavo Alfaro’s side now face France, the most in-form team at the World Cup. Germany had 73% possession and still couldn’t break them down in 90 minutes. The question is whether France can do what Germany couldn’t.
France have been the tournament’s standout side. Group I winners with a perfect nine points, they swept Sweden aside 3-0 in the Round of 32 with Mbappé scoring twice. In total, Les Bleus have scored 13 goals in four matches, with Mbappé on six for the tournament and Dembélé adding four. They haven’t trailed for a single minute at this World Cup.
