Tunisia vs Japan Prediction & Tips
Tunisia arrive in crisis mode after a heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opener. That result proved costly, leading to the dismissal of head coach Sabri Lamouchi and the appointment of Hervé Renard just days before this fixture. Tunisia’s defense has also struggled badly in recent matches, conceding 11 big chances across their last three games. Captain Ellyes Skhiri and centre-back Montassar Talbi will need big performances to steady the ship.
Japan, by contrast, head into this match in much better shape. Hajime Moriyasu’s side remain unbeaten in their last eight matches, although their tournament opener against the Netherlands ended in a hard-fought 2-2 draw. While satisfied with their overall performance, Moriyasu admitted disappointment at not securing all three points on matchday one. Japan will be without Takuya Kubo, who suffered a knee injury, and Wataru Endo, who is out for the rest of the tournament. Koki Ogawa, a six-goal qualifying scorer, is expected to step in.
