Sweden – Kosovo (Pick, Prediction, Preview) Preview

Sweden vs Kosovo Prediction & Tips

Sweden had an extremely difficult start to their qualifying campaign, picking up just one point after three games. The home defeat to Switzerland (0-2) on the last matchday was a wake-up call for Jon Dahl Tomasson’s team, now bottom of Group B. However, it should be noted that the initial schedule was tough, with two away games, a terrain where the Scandinavians are traditionally less comfortable. At home, Sweden has historically been solid, with nine wins in its last 11 home qualifying matches speaking for themselves.

Kosovo is enjoying an interesting period for its national team. Franco Foda’s side managed a draw against Slovenia (0-0) and, for the first time in its history, did not concede a goal in two consecutive World Cup qualifiers. Organisation and defensive solidity are the Kosovars’ main strengths, allowing them to compete even with more prestigious opponents. Kosovo is currently second in the standings, five points behind leaders Switzerland.
