Third league match and Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach are already on the move. The locals add a point in the first two rounds and visitors march colista with two defeats and six conceded goals. With aspirations to enter European posts, neither can afford a stumbling block.
Werder Bremen will maintain the same base of previous matches. They are still looking for different offensive solutions so they could play Oztunali and Bartels to have more presence above or Eggestein and Johannson looking for the bands. Their defense was very exposed to the cons of Schalke but they were more secure against Hertha.
In Gladbach, Nordtveit and Hahn return to the call. The presence of the Norwegian, if he ends up being a starter, will help improve the defense until the injured Domínguez and Stranzl return. That’s where their defeats have come since they have granted tremendous facilities to the rival. Meanwhile in attack, Favre has tried two ideas: with Drmic as a leading point against Dortmund and with Harzard and Raffael against Mainz. In this last match the occasions arrived but they did not know to define.
It is a difficult game to predict because the two teams have started the season badly. I still think that Borussia have more equipment and defense losses are hurting them a lot. They will face a rival with less speed ahead than Dortmund and Mainz and can close better in defense. In attack, chances should continue to arrive and Werder has shown this year that it is not as solid as in previous campaigns.

In recent history, Borussia have almost always imposed on Werder with the most recent result 0-2 last season. The need to add a win for both teams is a plus for the players but I think the visitors have a better team and will end up imposing themselves, leaving behind their bad start to the league.
