Southampton, under interim manager Simon Rusk, continue their rapid decline. Last time out, they managed to snatch a draw against West Ham only thanks to an injury time goal (1-1), but this does not hide the depth of the crisis in which the club finds itself. The winless run now stretches to nine games (2 draws and 7 defeats), and more worryingly, the Saints have now officially lost their place in the Premier League for next season.
Fulham are going through a run of poor results in the Premier League, suffering two consecutive defeats. First, Marco Silva’s side lost narrowly (0-1) in an away game to Bournemouth, and then lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea. Interestingly, in the last 13 Championship matches, the cottagers have not drawn any of their last 13 games, winning six and losing seven.
