Shkendija vs Ludogorets Prediction & Tips
Shkëndija from Tetovo is the champion of North Macedonia and the last representative of their country in European competitions this season. The team started their Champions League journey: in the first round, they drew twice against The New Saints and only managed to win in extra time, showing character. In the second round they surprised Steaua: they won 1-0 at home and managed a comeback in Romania.
Ludogorets is undoubtedly the standard-bearer of Bulgarian football: the team became national champions for the 14th time in a row and regained the right to play in the Champions League. However, the ‘Eagles’ encountered difficulties in the qualification phase.
In the first round against Dinamo Minsk, the Bulgarians won at home only 1-0, lost 1-2 away and advanced only in extra time. Against Rijeka, the script was repeated: 0-0 away and 1-1 at home, where Ludogorets took advantage of their opponents’ sending-offs and again settled everything in extra time. In the third round, Ferencváros was too strong: 0-0 in Bulgaria and a heavy 0-3 defeat in Hungary. Now the team will at least fight to reach the Europa League.
