IT SPEAKS FOR Kashima Antlers
Antlers have the advantage of playing in Japan (and there are only 130 km from Kashima to Yokohama).

IT SPEAKS FOR REAL MADRID
The European CL-wins (and driver side in the Spanish Primera) are clearly stronger than the paper Kashima (only because of being played in Japan).
Kashima was not even included in this year’s Asian Champions League. Participated in 2015, but went no further from the group phase.
Kashima have only Japanese in the squad, apart from two unostentatious Brazilians (without the glorious past in Brazil or Europe).

Real won the tournament last time the club participated in the Club World Cup – in 2014. In the semi-final was Mexican Cruz Azul beaten with 4-0.
NOTE
Note that at the Club World Cup played with “video-referee”. It came into use in the semi-final between Kashima and Atlético where he oversaw a penalty, but sentenced after seeing the video of the incident.
