It will take place at the Stade Vélodrome. OM have picked up the pace in the final sprint. In recent weeks, the club from Marseille has shown itself to be very solid. Last weekend, they secured their place in next season’s Champions League. The current runners-up in Ligue 1 are certain of a podium finish in the French league.
It’s clearly not the same season for Stade Rennais. The Breton club has never managed to get anywhere near the fight for Europe. Under Habib Beye, they are only 11th in Ligue 1. Stade Rennais can no longer hope to finish in the top half of the French league table. It is hard to imagine them arriving at La Canebière highly motivated.
