Malishevo is a young but ambitious club from Kosovo. Last season they made their debut in European competition, making it into the Conference League qualifiers for the first time thanks to an outstanding campaign in the local Super League.
They did not manage to surprise at the first attempt. Malishevo won the first match against Montenegrin side Buducnost, but defeat in the return leg ended the club’s international adventure.
Vikingur is a much more experienced participant in the preliminary rounds of European competitions. The Icelanders, as usual, play in the summer, which means that they arrive in full competitive form (the Icelandic league is played from spring to autumn).
Vikingur is a physically strong and tactically very well organised team, which played an outstanding role last season. They are not afraid to play on the attack even as visitors, especially against clubs from lower league coefficients.
