Magdeburg vs Hannover Prediction & Tips
The 2nd Bundesliga continues on Friday with the clash between 1. FC Magdeburg and Hannover 96. Although both teams currently have different goals for the season, they both desperately need the three points. While Hannover is looking to close the gap on the promotion places, Magdeburg wants to escape the bottom of the table.
After five games without defeat and 13 points in that period, FCM suffered their first defeat of 2026 in Saturday’s derby against Dynamo Dresden. This puts them back at the bottom of the table, just one point above 17th place.
Hannover, on the other hand, secured their first win of the year against Düsseldorf last weekend and have climbed to fifth place in the table. The Lower Saxony side won the first leg against FCM 3-1, and their current form also favours Hannover.
