Lech began its European campaign in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, where it easily defeated Iceland’s Breidablik. However, the Polish club then lost to Serbia’s Red Star and, in the Europa League, was no match for Belgium’s Genk. The Austrian club is not in the best shape going into this match: despite leading the league, Rapid has failed to win in its last two games, first drawing with Grazer AK 1902 (1-1) and then losing to Austria Wien (1-3).
