A sold out Stockholm Derby spurs on the new football week – Hammarby and Djurgården meet each other at the stadium they share. Can “Blåränderna” bringing home their first derby third in 14 games?
Just five matches remaining of Allsvenskan and then as well as Hammarby Djurgården secured the contract in the series – and now it’s more or less just an “off the table” over which side should be above the other. Before the fight standing Hammarby 35 sticks, ninth, and the DIF of 34 pieces, ten.
And the temperature before the game is scalding hot, Table situations notwithstanding.
One of the things standing in the spotlight is of course Djurgårdens disastrous derby hindsight, the matches against AIK and Hammarby precisely counted, with 14 felled one after another without profit. And it’s not that they were mil behind competitors in recent years, quite the opposite in the case against HIF.
The statistics and history talk would be a bang – Hammarby exhibited as “underdogs” – motivated to play, but we do not feel completely comfortable with it given the quality Djurgarden shown up for Mark Dempsey in general and the last games in particular .
But even Hammarby was in great shape before the break and then it was defense game that stood out – contrary to earlier – and center-back pair Joseph Aidoo-Boo David Wiklander has been raised to the skies. Now run the risk, however, the latter missed the game because of family reasons.
Derbies are always more or less clean målpartajen, with less focus on the duel game than it would otherwise have been the norm in derby matches in the 2000s and even earlier. The intensity rather is pure Hawaii football and two parties that change with each scoring opportunities. This is not only included games when these two meet, but when weighed against AIK.
If we look at the four mutual matches played on a bid on exactly three goals and remaining three of four. Statistics speak for itself.
DIF was fantastic målform before the break and has an offensive in absolutely top class. In contrast, looked shaky defense game out later against Orebro.
