Frankfurt vs Schalke (Pick, Prediction, Preview)

Bundesliga continues today at 16:30 after last night we had the epilogue of the first round, Bayern – Bremen, score 6-0. Match on which we will focus is Frankfurt – Schalke on “Commerzbank Arena”, one where guests are likely to debut in the new campaign law.

Frankfurt ended last season in 16th place, one dam. They played in the company of Nuremberg and the result at home, 1-1, kinda compromised the chances to stay in the first division. Seferovic’s goal, jersey, brought a 1-0 win but tormented, what success has kept the people at Frankfurt in Bundesliga. However, if we take the first official game of the season, the Cup victory on penalties in Magdeburg are announcing another tough season difficult. That’s despite a very successful pre-season. Chapter acquisitions bringing Hrgota can move from Gladbach. They can not be overlooked either as loans to young Varela (United) or Rebic (Fiorentina).

Unfortunately, the infirmary is pretty full, and Niko Kovac will take the fork in the first round. Anderson, Stender, Seferovic, Russ, Tawatha Rebic or are injured.

Schalke seems determined to push for Champions League places this season. After finishing last season in 5th place one directly from the Europa League this year heads of the 04 have invested in bringing some players. Thus, following the sale of Sane at Chelsea for 50 million euros, Schalke managed to cover the post, to bring a few players and to stay and profit. Embolo, Basel, it will replace the Sane, while Stambouli, Naldo, Coke or Baba and Bentaleb – loans, were brought to help the “blue” to fight for the Champions League places.

Earlier, Cup, against those of Villingen, 4-1, was pretty decent, with newcomer Embolo scoring for the band. N Schalke has won five matches in Frankfurt however, managed to score only in one match.

Probable teams:

Frankfurt

Hradecký – Varela, Hector, Abraham, Oczipka – Huszti Mascarell – Gacinovic, Meier, Blum – Hrgota

Schalke

Fährmann – Caicara, Naldo, Howedes, Baba – Geis, Goretzka – Embolo Meyer, Choupo-Moting – Huntelaar

Away team looks really good, at least on paper. I’m not sure if Meyer will be titular, considering that starred Olympic final. It is likely to be rested. Record against Frankfurt is not brilliant, but I noticed that they had opted much youth this season. It remains to be seen just how quickly they will adapt. I do not think they will do so quickly, so Schalke has a good chance to go three points here, good prognosis for day ticket.
