A very explosive duel will be in the Italian Serie A next Sunday, when the team from FC Empoli will meet FC Genoa. For now, these two teams are separated in the table by only one rank. The pressure is, however, rather with the house owners. The kick-off of the meeting is on 5 March at 3 pm.
Current form FC Empoli
With FC Empoli, it was clear before the season that they would have to fight 2016/2017 for the league. In the same way, the team of Giovanni Martusciello is currently on the 17th table rank and therefore only one place in front of the relegation zone. The advantage on ebendiese is (yet) soothing seven counters. With a victory against FC Genoa, one could gain important air in the fight for the class preservation. That this is possible, one may believe however of the results in the recent plays but not quite believe. For Empoli has lost every single one of the past three championships. Admittedly the program was anything but easy, with matches against Juventus (2-0), Inter Milan (0-2) and Lazio (1: 2) To a full success and previously also against weaker teams such as Crotone the shortened (1: 4). You can hope for the latecomer to the home advantage. Four out of five seasons have been entered before their own audience. The same applies to the last two point gains. The problem zone Empolis is more than obvious at a glance at the statistics. Only 15 (!) Goals have been scored in 26 games, a value that the Matusciello elite in this respect to the absolute league table of the entire league. By comparison, even the second-worst offensive from Crotone has already scored six more than Empoli. A glimmer of hope: coach Martusciello will be able to offer his best eleven on Sunday, but currently no single squad member is injured.
Current Form FC Genoa
If you are against Empoli in the current form is not favorite, it must be very bad. And yet, for FC Genoa, you can claim that this is a good thing. Andrea Mandorlini’s record is simply terrifying. Since no less than 12 (!) Ligaspielen and thus since the period of about one third of a whole season is the FC Genoa without victory. Lastly, it was against Bologna to a 1: 1 draw. Prior to that, however, they also had three defeats for Genoa, with no one hit. Negative highlight was surely the bankruptcy of Pescara (0: 5). Admittedly, in the last of the tables, Zdenek Zeman’s coaching effect may have been striking, but anyone who picks the by far the highest season in the last race should be careful. The first leg against Empoli gives only few details for Sunday, but ended with a goalless draw. What is clear is that Genoa, despite the recent downturn, has more offensively stronger and more powerful than Empoli. Defensive, however, is the exact opposite. For Empoli has suffered as many goals as Florence, while Genoa lag behind. They also celebrated two victories abroad, the last of which took place on 2 October (!) In 2016. Coach Andrea Mandorlini, the team’s goalkeeper Mattia Perin, Miguel Veloso and Santiago Gentiletti, took over the team just over two weeks ago Has – especially in the defensive on some important player.
In Genoa, it is hoped that the coach will have a lot to play with.
A prognosis for this game is enormously difficult, but we assume that Empoli can withstand the pressure and celebrate a home victory, with which one gets some air in the relegation battle.
