Cadiz CF vs Almeria Prediction & Tips
The team, after 1993, only returned to LaLiga in the 2005/2006 season. However, after returning in 2020, they managed to stay in the top flight for four seasons. Even in the last edition of LaLiga they did not look too bad, but their 33 points only earned them 18th place.
Returning to Segunda with that result, the club was considered from the start as one of the favourites. However, the results have been mediocre: wins are almost equal to draws and defeats. As a result, Garitano’s team has been stuck in mid-table. In the spring, they went five games without a win, only managing a 1-0 win against Sporting Gijón. But on the last matchday they lost 2-4 against Córdoba.
Since the club was acquired by Al-Sheikh, they set themselves the immediate goal of returning to the Primera Division. They only managed it in 2022, and Rubi achieved it on his second attempt. With him, the newcomer scored enough points to stay in the top flight after the first season. Without him, in 2023/2024 they only scored 21 points and were relegated early.
The coach has returned to the project, but for now it seems unlikely that he will be able to get his side back to LaLiga immediately. The aim is to at least finish in the top six to be able to fight for promotion in the playoffs. Victories over Racing Ferrol and Eldense have significantly strengthened their chances of achieving this.
