Burnley vs Tottenham Prediction & Tips
Without a win in their last 13 league games (D4, L9) and eight points adrift of safety, only a miracle and one of the greatest comebacks in Premier League history would see Burnley survive at this stage. However, the team has at least shown a more solid image lately, as last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Anfield did little for their survival hopes, but it was their fourth draw in six games, suggesting that their first top-flight win since October could be close. It seems unlikely to come against one of the “Big Six” teams, as Burnley have not beaten one of these sides since February 2022 (D4, L19).
The pressure on Spurs manager Frank was enormous in the midweek clash with Borussia Dortmund, but his players responded and secured a 2-0 victory that leaves them in a strong position to reach the UEFA Champions League round of 16. However, Frank is not out of the woods yet, as he needs to turn around a very poor league campaign that has left the team in 14th place with 27 points, just three more than his predecessor Ange Postecoglou had at this stage last season. A run of 13 unbeaten away games in the Premier League against newly promoted teams (W11, D2) suggests that they can improve on that points tally this weekend and, in the process, break a run of four league games without a win (D2, L2).
