Bologna’s 2-0 home defeat to Roma marked their third consecutive loss without scoring in all competitions – the last two in Serie A – and left them six points adrift of the top seven ahead of this matchday. They could secure their survival this weekend, though it seems inevitable given the struggles of the teams below them, which will come as a relief to the ‘Sardinians’, who this season have lost seven of their eight away matches against teams that started this matchday in the top half of the table (D1).
