Having left the LDC in the third qualifying round, AEK Athens and Brugge are both in their right place in the Europa League. Unable to break away in Belgium (0-0) during a very choppy barrage, both clubs will have to do it in the Greek capital. We are expecting a very cautious start again, in a game that can only be debunked after the opening of the score. Dauphin of the Olympiakos in Super League last year, the AEK relies much on the home factor to go for a qualification which would sign its return to the foreground. For the Belgians, having come out of the big league of the Champions League a few months earlier (6 defeats), it is to maintain the club in Europe, to enable it to progress faster. Bruges has accumulated a lot of experience during his previous campaign of Champions League and has built a staff to evolve on the European scene. More attractive than the AEK on paper, the Belgians will seek their qualification in Greece.
