After a poor start under Paulo Fonseca, Milan failed to recover and are ending the season in an unusually low position. Conceicao was unable to turn the situation around and his dismissal seems to be all but decided.
The only way to salvage a completely failed season would be to win the Coppa Italia, where the ‘rossoneri’ will face Bologna on 14 May. Interestingly, before that final, the two sides will be battling it out in Serie A, where Bologna are still in with a chance of finishing in the top four.
After a poor start to the season, many predicted a mid-table position for Bologna.
