Anderlecht lost last week’s Croky Cup final following a poor performance and also put in a lacklustre display against KV Mechelen at the weekend. The match ended 2-2 in front of their home crowd after a very late equaliser from RSCA. Prior to that, Anderlecht had lost to both Union and Club Brugge (1-3 on both occasions) and drawn against KAA Gent (1-1).
STVV are in a completely different vein. The Canaries have been in the top three for quite some time and are already assured of European football next season. In their last four matches, STVV beat both KV Mechelen (1-4) and Union (2-1), but then lost to Club Brugge (2-0). They subsequently drew with Gent (1-1).
