The Albacete-Real Madrid match comes in the wake of Xabi Alonso’s dismissal as coach of the Madrid team after losing to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia (3-2), where they defeated Atlético in the semifinals (2-1) and stood up to their eternal rivals in the title match.
