Genoa vs Juventus Prediction & Tips
Genoa and Lecce shared the points in a 0-0 draw at the Marassi Stadium, in what was their fourth consecutive Serie A match without a win (D1, L3). This means that they have already squandered half of what should have been an advantageous start with two consecutive home games. While it is unlikely that Patrick Vieira’s side will have to wait until January to celebrate their first home league win, as was the case last season, their home record against teams that finished in the top half of the table (D3, L7) does not bode well for this challenge.
Juventus, on the other hand, kicked off the new Serie A campaign with a 2-0 win over Parma, in a match where Dušan Vlahović scored and repaired his relationship with the fans. With their offensive problems seemingly resolved, Juve will be looking to repeat last season’s start, in which they kept a clean sheet in their first six league games (W3, D3). In addition, the Bianconeri have not lost their first away league game since 2015, winning the last two 3-0, and performed well on the road last season, winning six of ten visits to teams in the bottom half of the table (D3, L1) and keeping five clean sheets in that stretch.
