Charleroi vs St. Truiden Prediction & Tips
Charleroi had an up and down season last season. In the first half they established themselves as a solid mid-table team, but then showed good football and managed to qualify for the Conference League by beating Antwerp in the decisive match.
The start in European competitions was disappointing. In the first match against Swedish side Hammarby, Charleroi drew goalless, but lost in extra time at home and unexpectedly ended their European journey.
Sint-Truiden avoided relegation only in the final stretch of last season. In duels against Cercle Brugge, Kortrijk and Beerschot, the team managed to keep their place in the elite, and in the summer the right decisions were made.
The club decided to keep the coach and strengthen the squad with quality additions. This paid off, as during the pre-season Sint-Truiden lost only one match.
