Dortmund vs Monterrey Prediction & Tips
It’s the last Round of 16 of the 2025 Club World Cup. It pits Borussia Dortmund against Monterrey this Wednesday at 3pm at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The German team has made its mark in Group F. BVB had to make do with a goalless draw against Fluminense in their opening game. The team coached by Niko Kovac then went on to defeat Mamelodi Sundowns (3-4) and Ulsan HD (1-0). A fine run of form that saw them finish in 1st place in their group. However, their debut in the knockout rounds will be no picnic.
Monterrey have yet to lose in this tournament. The Mexican club found themselves in a Group E that was far from straightforward. Nevertheless, they managed to finish 2nd, just behind Inter Milan. Domenec Torrent’s men got off to a flying start with 2 draws against Inter Milan (1-1) and River Plate (0-0). Sergio Ramos’s team-mates then had no trouble overcoming Urawa Red Diamonds to qualify for the next round (0-4). They will be hoping to continue their fine run by catching another of the tournament’s big guns.
