Bayern Munich vs Auckland City Prediction & Tips
Bayern are among the favourites to win the Club World Cup. The Munich club has already lifted the trophy twice – in 2013 and 2020 – but both times under the previous format. Now, the tournament takes on a new format and Bayern, as German champions, are determined to reaffirm their status on the world stage.
Auckland City is the leading club in the Australia/Oceania region, representing New Zealand. The team regularly confirms its high level on the regional scene: last season it won the OFC Champions League with authority and was also crowned champion of the New Zealand National League.
In terms of international tournaments, the club is also experienced. In 2024, Auckland City took part in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, but suffered a heavy 6-2 defeat in the Round of 16 to Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates. A year earlier, at the 2023 Club World Cup, the New Zealanders were also eliminated in the last 16 after losing 3-0 to Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia.
