Oviedo was for a long time content with the fact that, by obtaining a new and very rich investor just before bankruptcy, it consolidated itself in the Second Division. It seemed that their ambitions did not extend any further. But last season, they suddenly managed to cling to the sixth place (the ‘Racing Santander’ had the same 64 points) and then reach the playoff final, where the more experienced ‘Espanyol’ scored one more goal.
Levante has played quite a lot in the Primera División lately. Moreover, in 2012-2013 they even made a worthy debut in the Europa League. But, after relegation once again in 2022 to the Second Division, the ambitious team could not come back immediately (third place and failure in the playoff), and in the last season they sadly wandered among the mediocre, finishing in eighth place.
