Sporting CP vs SC Farense Prediction & Tips
It’s hard to imagine a more lopsided encounter in the Liga NOS. This weekend, leaders Sporting host second-bottom Farense. The hosts are on course for the title and have taken a considerable lead over SL Benfica, their main rivals. Sporting have a six-point lead over the Lisbon club after 19 rounds, thanks to an almost perfect first half of the season: fifteen wins, two draws and just two defeats for Viktor Gyökeres’ partners.
Opposite them, Farense are fighting for their survival, and are in a very difficult position if they are to stay in the Liga NOS. The Black and Whites are 17th in the standings with 15 points, three behind the first non-relegated side, and on a run of four games without a win in 2025, the Portuguese club is stagnating and sinking to the bottom of the competition, just ahead of Boavista. With just three wins so far this season, Farense have little chance of saving themselves in the second half of the campaign.
