PEC Zwolle will reopen the doors of its Mac3Park Stadium on 13 December when the home team takes on Fortuna Sittard in the sixteenth round of the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie season. Both teams are in the lower half of the table, with PEC currently in fourteenth place and Fortuna in eleventh.
PEC Zwolle is anything but in good form going into this match, having suffered several heavy defeats recently, including a catastrophic 8-2 defeat at Heracles Almelo and a 6-1 thrashing at Feyenoord, although they did manage an important 2-1 home win against SC Heerenveen and draws against FC Groningen and NEC Nijmegen.
Fortuna Sittard’s season has seen similar problems, with the visitors failing to win in their last three league games, including a 3-1 home defeat to Ajax, although they did manage respectable draws against Heracles Almelo (1-1) and Sparta Rotterdam (1-1), alongside an impressive 2-0 home win over SC Heerenveen.
