Zrinjski vs Virtus Prediction & Tips
Zrinjski got off to an authoritative start in the Champions League qualifiers. The team is clearly superior to Virtus San Marino, and it showed in the first match. Controlling the tempo of the match from start to finish, the Bosnians opened the scoring at the end of the first half from the penalty spot and, in the second half, added another goal to close the match with a comfortable 2-0 win. Their opponents hardly had a single shot on goal in the entire match.
On the international stage, however, the team has yet to achieve any notable success. In last year’s Champions League qualifiers, Virtus lost 1-11 on aggregate to Steaua of Romania (0-4 away and 1-7 at home). This year, the start has not been favourable either: in the first leg they lost 0-2 to Zrinjski. However, compared to last season, the result is more respectable and Virtus will now try to put up a better fight and show a better version in the second leg.
