Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side finally got back to winning ways by beating Stuttgart 2-1 last time out, ending a run of four games without a win (three draws and one defeat). However, even in this difficult period, they almost always managed to find the net, failing to score on only one occasion.
Offensively, Wolfsburg are in good form, ranking among the four top-scoring teams in the Bundesliga. In the overall standings, the ‘Wolves’ are in ninth place, but are showing a solid performance at home: they have not lost in six of their last seven home games (three wins and three draws).
Bochum pulled off a big surprise last time out, beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at home. The win was their first in their last five Bundesliga matches (two draws and two defeats) and they also managed to keep a clean sheet for the first time in that period.
This success lifted Dieter Hecking’s side off the bottom of the table, but this is no time to relax, especially considering their disastrous away run: Bochum have now gone 12 consecutive away games without a win (two draws and ten defeats).
