West Ham vs Brentford Prediction & Tips
Although the season has not yet reached its final stretch, it is already clear that West Ham have disappointed this year. In the summer, the board of directors had put their faith in the Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui, but the project did not work out. Currently, the Hammers are in 16th place with 27 points. Although they have a 10-point cushion over the relegation zone, their performance is far below the club’s expectations.
Graham Potter took over as manager at the beginning of January, but results have still not improved significantly. In four Premier League games under his stewardship, West Ham have picked up just four points. On the previous matchday, they lost 1-2 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Before that, they drew 1-1 with Aston Villa, lost 0-2 to Crystal Palace and beat Fulham 3-2.
Brentford, meanwhile, remain a solid mid-table side in the Premier League. Thomas Frank’s side do not have European aspirations, but they do not have to worry about relegation either. They are a tough team for the bigger clubs, although they tend to drop points against lower level opposition.
After 24 games, Brentford are in 11th place with 31 points, just three points outside the top 10. Recently, they have had a difficult schedule. Last time out, they lost 2-0 to Tottenham, but before that they had a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, a 2-0 loss to Liverpool and a 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
