After a long run of poor results, Werder managed to stabilise their performance and have shown a clear improvement towards the end of the season. They have now gone six consecutive matches without defeat in the Bundesliga, four of which ended in wins and two in draws. Leipzig, for their part, have lost ground noticeably at the end of the season.
