Colombia, unlike Venezuela, is already assured of a place at the 2026 World Cup. In 17 games, the team has accumulated 25 points, eight points ahead of eighth place and seven ahead of seventh place. In their last match, Colombia beat Bolivia 3-0 with authority, and had earlier taken points from Argentina. Despite a six-game winless streak in June, the Cafeteros managed to qualify for the world finals. This is their return to the global stage for the first time since 2018.
