UTA Arad vs Universitatea Craiova Prediction & Tips
The Arădenni scored a win and a defeat in the two friendly matches in the off-season. They finished 1-0 with Serbian side Pancevo (goal newcomer Alin Roman) and 0-1 with Albanian side Vllaznia. Before UTA – Universitatea Craiova, the Textilians have only one defeat in their previous five matches, official or friendly. The last time they lost an official game was in April, 0-3 in Sibiu. Last season, UTA recorded six wins, eight draws and six defeats in Superliga home matches.
It remains to be seen how the Olten side will fare in terms of creativity and offensive efficiency after Mitriță’s departure. The strategy adopted this summer (in terms of transfers) does not seem oriented towards the near future. Some of last season’s best U21 players were brought in, such as Rădulescu, Băsceanu and Matei. However, adapting and fighting for a place in the first 11 will not be easy in a team with title aspirations. As for the players already rotated in the Superliga, Teles, Stevanovic and the repatriated Băluță and Crețu have been brought in. After UTA – Universitatea Craiova, the Olten will have two games in a row at home to FC Argeș and U Cluj.
