Tenerife vs Granada CF Prediction & Tips
Tenerife is memorable for those who have followed Spanish football for a long time. At the turn of the last century, they even managed to hold their own for a dozen consecutive seasons at Primera División level. But then they only returned episodically. Moreover, after another relegation in 2010, they did not return to La Liga anymore – on the contrary, they fell more often to the third tier than even playing in the playoffs.
Now, the club, which last spring was twelfth in the final table, is increasingly at risk of losing its place even in the Segunda. Changing the coach didn’t help for long – after the initial boost with the arrival of Álvaro Cervera, the results have been dropping more and more. They beat ‘Huesca’ after a series of failures, but then lost 1-2 to ‘Santander’. On the last matchday, they beat ‘Cádiz’ 2-1.
Granada since 2011, have mainly played at La Liga level. They even qualified for European competitions, and performed respectably there. However, the last promotion to Primera, in 2023, resulted in an immediate and dishonourable relegation, finishing in last position with terrible statistics.
These newcomers at a lower level are considered favourites. But instead of promotion, the team has been stuck in a rut and finds itself among mid-table teams, winning only slightly more than it loses. In March, it was 0-5 against ‘Cordoba’ and 0-1 against ‘Cadiz’. However, on the last matchday, albeit narrowly, 1-0, they beat ‘Oviedo’.
