Salernitana vs Frosinone Prediction & Tips
The team is just past its prime. Salernitana, which until recently had only been promoted to Serie A once – and only for one year – and which in the 2011/2012 season was playing in the fourth division, managed in 2021 to return to the top flight. What’s more, they managed to stay up for three consecutive seasons, although most of the time they showed rather weak football. Finally, they were relegated last spring, just when everybody had got used to seeing them in Serie A. And the fall was absolutely disastrous: they finished in last, twentieth place, with pitiful statistics.
Frosinone, along with their rivals, were relegated from Serie A a year ago. It didn’t help that third time’s the charm. For this, their third attempt to establish themselves in the Italian top flight, ended in the same way as the previous ones: relegation. Although this time it was particularly painful: for much of the season they were far from danger, but in the end they were just one point behind Empoli and Cagliari, finishing in eighteenth position.
