PSG vs Auxerre Prediction & Tips
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain responded to their first two defeats of the season by crushing bottom side Montpellier 4-1 last weekend. They now need only better results from Marseille and Monaco on Saturday to record the first 20-plus-point gap for a champion team in France’s top flight since they achieved it in the 2015/16 season. However, this feat is unlikely to be a priority as the capital club have their sights set on their upcoming Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League finals.
Three points here would certainly help their preparations, but they are not guaranteed after Auxerre held them to a goalless draw in December’s meeting between them. Despite their dominance all season, PSG have only kept one clean sheet at the Parc des Princes in their last ten league games (G7, E2, P1), so they could again be reliant on their lethal attack to secure points.
