Portugal vs North Macedonia Prediction & Tips
Many, almost all, expected Portugal and Italy to play for one of the remaining spots in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but instead coach Fernando Santos’ Lusitanians will surprisingly take on North Macedonia at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto. Macedonian coach Blagoja Milevski’s side pulled off the feat when they defeated Italy 1-0 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo thanks to former Palermo man Alekasandar Trajkovski. At the Dragao Stadium it will be much more complicated against a team that has great offensive strength and that in the other match at the same time defeated Turkey 3-1 with goals from Otavio, Diogo Jota and Matheus Nunes. There are two previous fixtures, both friendlies, which gives an added advantage in the prediction to the Portuguese.
In the previous two friendly matches, Portugal won 1-0 in Lausanne in 2003 and the two teams drew 0-0 in Leiria in 2012.
