Monaco vs Strasbourg Prediction & Tips
Monaco have had an inconsistent start to the season, following up their 3-1 win on the opening day with a 1-0 defeat to Lille last Sunday. Having failed to keep a clean sheet this season and with just one goal in their last six league games, Adi Hütter’s men may need to rely on their attack to win against Strasbourg. Playing in front of their home crowd should help them in their quest, as only reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain have picked up more points at home in Ligue 1 than the 42 they have earned since the start of the 2024/25 season (W13, D3, L2).
Strasbourg, one of only four teams in the division to have made a perfect start after two games in their league campaign (W2), will now attempt to win their first three Ligue 1 games in a season for only the second time in their history, and the first since the 1946/47 campaign. A trip to Denmark in midweek, where a 3-2 win against Brondby secured their place in the UEFA Conference League group stage, could negatively affect their ambitions as they try to recover from the fatigue of travel, as could their recent inconsistent away form in the top flight, which has seen them pick up just 25 of their last 63 points on the road (W7, D4, L7).
