Ludogorets vs Sutjeska Prediction & Tips
This Tuesday, the dominator of the Bulgarian A PFG in the last decade as Ludogorets Razgrad goes for a victory in its struggle to return to the group stage of the Champions League, when at the Huvepharma Arena in Razgrad receives the visit of a Montenegrin team as Sutjeska Niksic that seeks to make history in this European competition.
As we know, the team coached by Ante Šimundža has been the “King and Queen” in recent years in the Bulgarian A PFG. Let’s remember that Orlite won promotion in the 2010/11 season and since the 2011/12 season they have won every season up to the present, a total of eleven consecutive titles in the Bulgarian soccer elite.
But beware that this good performance has led them to competitions such as the Champions League, remembering that they reached the group stage in its 2014/15, 2016/17 editions where they were measured against teams of the stature of Real Madrid, Liverpool.
In the last edition of Champions League 2021/22 they were eliminated by the Swedish team of Malmö with a 3-2 aggregate in the playoff stage, but this was enough to play the group stage of the Europa League where the results were not favorable.
In order to make a difference, the Eagles have played a series of friendlies, which they closed with a good 3-0 win against Nuremberg. More comprehensively, they won three of their four warm-up games. They aim to continue on that path in a Champions League where they have not lost in their last four home games, winning three of them in regulation time.
Meanwhile, Milija Savović’s side lifted the Montenegrin Premier League title once again and are now aiming to make history in the European Champions League, a competition where they have failed to be part of the group stage.
To be more specific, Plavi has not been able to get past the Second Qualifying Round. Their last presentation in Europe was in the Europa Conference League 2021/22 where in their first qualifying round they overcame Graga of Georgia but then failed against Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel, being eliminated by an aggregate score of 3-1.
Like their opponents, Sutjeska’s team has played a series of friendlies, more specifically three, all against Serbian teams, losing two of them.
Now, as for their participation in the Champions League, they have not won in their five away games, and in general Plavi have not won in their ten games in this competition in regulation time, their only victory being against Slovan Bratislava on penalties in the First Qualifying Round, in a game they played at home.
