Fulham – Bournemouth (Pick, Prediction, Preview) Preview

Fulham vs Bournemouth Prediction & Tips

Fulham trail Bournemouth by just one place and one point in the bottom half of the Premier League table, with both teams looking for their first league win in 2024. Fulham have played one more game than the visitors and have drawn their last two Premier League games, most recently against Burnley 2-2, which manager Marco Silva described as “a difficult one to take” after squandering a two-goal lead.

Having lost just one of their last six home league games (G4, E1), the Cottagers could be confident of ending that losing streak, even if their last win at this stadium against their arch-rivals was in April 1992 when they were both in England’s third tier (E4, P4). One thing fans will be looking forward to is the potential home debut of Armando Broja after his arrival on loan from west London rivals Chelsea.

Bournemouth also brought in a loan player in January, with the arrival of Turkish striker Enes Ünal from Getafe, and he could make his debut in this clash to help the Cherries end a run of four league games without a win (E2, P2). Like the home side, they drew their last two, with manager Andoni Iraola praising his men for surviving despite picking up a red card against Nottingham Forest last weekend (E 1-1).

Coming into what is their third consecutive away league game in London (E1, P1) Bournemouth are a team to be respected in that capacity, with their 3-1 loss to Tottenham on December 31 being their only away league defeat since early November (G4, E1). And they have good recent experience in the capital, coming from 2-0 down to beat QPR 3-2 in the FA Cup last month.
Players to watch: Each of new Fulham striker Armando Broja’s last three goals have been recorded in a clean sheet win, one of which came against his current side playing for Chelsea earlier in the season. Justin Kluivert opened the scoring for Bournemouth against Forest, and all three of his goals this league season have come before the break, including one against Fulham in December.
Key stat: Fulham have earned ten or more corner kicks in each of their last three competitive matches.
