North Macedonian champions Shkëndija Tetovo are approaching the new season with confidence. Although the national championship has not yet started, the team has prepared thoroughly by playing several friendlies. Out of four warm-up matches, they won three, a positive sign ahead of their European debut.
In the first qualifying round, Shkëndija took on Welsh side New Saints. It was an even tie: after a 0-0 away draw and a 1-1 draw at home, the Macedonians won only in extra time. This is evidence of the team’s fighting character and their ability to perform under pressure.
