Everton vs Chelsea Prediction & Tips
After securing two consecutive wins against Newcastle United (3-2) and Burnley (2-0), David Moyes’ Everton failed to secure a third consecutive league win last weekend, and their tenacious performance proved in vain as they suffered a 2-0 away defeat to league leaders Arsenal, conceding goals in the 89th and 97th minutes. Everton are now eighth in the table with 43 points, six points adrift of fifth place, occupied by their hated neighbours Liverpool.
Five points above them, meanwhile, are Chelsea, who are coming off a run of ‘nightmare’ matches: a 1-0 home defeat in the Premier League against Newcastle United, two losses against Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain, and elimination in the round of 16 with a heavy 8-2 aggregate defeat. The Blues were soundly beaten 3-0 at home in the second leg on Wednesday.
