In the last fifty years, since the early 1970s, Cordoba has only once been promoted to LaLiga. That 2014/2015 season they finished in 20th place, bottom of the table. After that, they were even relegated to the fourth division. However, they did not stagnate there, and last season, they first achieved second place in their third division group and then won the playoff.
Mirandes managed, on their second attempt, to settle in Segunda. Having returned in 2019 after a two-year absence, they have now spent four seasons earning the points needed to stay there. However, last spring they finished in a ‘borderline’ position of 18th, dangerously close to relegation.
