Clermont vs Troyes Prediction & Tips
Clermont are clearly stuck in the current Ligue 2 season and are currently 16th in the table. The team accumulates only 28 points, six points less than ‘Red Star 93’, who are out of the relegation zone. In addition, ‘Martigues’, who are close behind, have the same number of points, beating ‘Clermont’ only by additional criteria.
The ‘Clermont’ fans don’t seem to remember the taste of victory anymore. The team is immersed in a prolonged winless streak, which already totals 12 consecutive matches in Ligue 2. On the last matchday, the club managed a draw away from home against ‘Pau’ (2-2), but before that they were clearly outplayed by one of the championship’s big guns, ‘Paris’ (0-2).
Troyes’ continue to show an inconsistent performance in the current season and are in 14th position in the table with 35 points to their credit. Nevertheless, David Guion’s men can breathe a little easier, as the gap to the danger zone is a comfortable seven points.
However, the results of the last few weeks have clearly not pleased the fans: the team has not won in four consecutive matches, losing twice and drawing twice. In the last match, ‘Troyes’ failed to break through the defence of ‘Ajaccio’ at home (0-0), and before that they drew in a thrilling exchange of goals with ‘Red Star 93’ (2-2).
