CFR Cluj vs FC Rapid Bucuresti Prediction & Tips
CFR continued their impressive run with a seventh consecutive victory, winning 3-2 at home against local rivals “U,” benefiting from two major errors by the opposing defense. It was 2-0 in the 10th minute after Djokovic opened the scoring in the 5th minute and Biliboc added to the tally. Nistor reignited the hopes of the “red caps” with a goal in the 21st minute, but Camora restored the visitors’ lead in the 43rd minute. Drammeh scored to make it 3-2 in the 83rd minute, but Pancu’s team then resisted the dominance of the university team.
Rapid slipped up again on their home turf in the last round of the championship, drawing 1-1 at home with Petrolul Ploiești, who opened the scoring in the 72nd minute, with Pașcanu equalizing three minutes later. It was the second consecutive negative result in Giulești, after a 0-2 defeat to “U” Cluj.
There were two debuts in Gâlcă’s team: former Petrolul player Sălceanu at left back, but his performance was not exactly convincing, being replaced at half-time by Borza, and goalkeeper D. Iliev, who came from UTA. Jambor’s inclusion in the starting lineup and captain Alex Dobre’s relegation to the bench, coming on in the 46th minute, were also surprising.
