Cadiz has never been particularly outstanding. Suffice it to say that its all-time high is twelfth place in La Liga. But it managed to repeat this a few years ago, when it finally returned to the Spanish football elite after a long break. Then, it managed to maintain its position several times, but not last spring.

There was a chance to finally return to the top flight last spring. But, coming into the playoffs from fifth place, they were ultimately unsuccessful there.
Now the situation is much sadder for the team: they are now fighting for survival. There were even three defeats in a row in spring, and how timely it was after that to beat ‘Eldense’ – 2-1 as visitors. Then, they continued the success with 3-1 against ‘Mirandés’.
