Brighton have lost some form after their victory over Manchester United. The defeat at home to Everton was unexpected, and the match against Nottingham Forest ended in a resounding failure (0-7).
The ‘Seagulls’ hold the tenth position, with almost half of the matches ending in draws. The team is not in danger, but it seems that they will not be able to fight for a place in European competitions either.
In the first part of the season, Chelsea tried to fight for the title with Liverpool, but eventually concentrated on more modest tasks. The Blues have only managed two wins in their last five Premier League games, which has seen them cede third place to Arsenal and hand third place to surprise package Nottingham Forest.
Holding on to fourth place will be tricky, with Manchester City, Newcastle and Bournemouth close behind. In the circumstances, finishing in the Champions League zone would be a successful outcome for Chelsea.
