SC Freiburg will play away at FC Bologna on the second matchday of the Europa League group stage. Freiburg beat FC Basel 2-1 in their opening game and have generally stabilised again after a difficult start to the season. They will now be looking to carry that form into the game against the Rossoblu in Bologna, knowing full well that it will not be easy.
Bologna has a good team, is not easy to play against, especially in front of their home crowd, and should not be underestimated. What’s more, the Serie A team also has the individual talent to play a strong role in this match. The Italians won’t give Freiburg much space to play, but that doesn’t usually bother the Breisgauers. SCF is a good team that can often keep a cool head in tight games, and they’ll need to do that here too.
